“No Fear”

Through the years I’ve realized that it is easier to have “No fear” when we have no problems. But, what about the times when sickness and financial problems are a reality? I believe that most of us could say that at that moment we have all had an emotional feeling of instability, which can lead to fear. What causes Christians to feel this way? I thought you would never ask 😊. The problem is that our situation seems so near to us and our help seems so far away. We always see the objects that are closer to us, before the objects that are at a greater distance. However, we must remind ourselves that our help is much closer than our problems, because our help (God, Jesus, Holy Ghost, angels) is within and/or all around us! Elisha and his servant was surrounded by their enemies and Elisha’s servant saw them and was afraid, but Elisha said, “Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.” Elisha prayed that his servant’s eyes would be opened so that he could see the army that God had sent to help them. God opened his eyes and he saw that the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire around about Elisha (2 Kings 6). You see, the servant was afraid of what he could see, because of what he couldn’t see. If we would see what God wants us to see, through the eyes of faith, we would never fear the enemy.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
